Working with folks like these two is awesome, meet our engaged couple Ashley and Bobby! These cool folks are planning their wedding for 2017.

We were displaying our wedding images at the Doubletree in Bloomington, Illinois, during a wedding show when this tall, gorgeous young gal sprang up and announced that we would be photographing our wedding.

“Awesome!” I thought — but did not immediately recognize her. You think I would have — I’ve seen her growing up over the past seven years.

Ashley was part of mom Alison’s wedding not so long ago, as one of the bridesmaids.

Krystal did — this was a now grown up Ashley with her fiancee Bobby. We first met Ashley back in 2009 when we photographed her mom’s wedding (Alison and Michael.)

Followed up by a few family sessions with Alison and Michael as the family grew and Ashley had new sisters and brother. Then her senior photos. Now, she was getting married. Wow! Love it!
And Bobby, well, you have to like a guy who falls in love with Ashley! They laugh, they talk, they giggle and even get licked by their little pup together. What more can you ask for?

We headed out to a farm south of Bloomington — with a few special settings created with the help of Bobby’s mom and Ashley. I think some of those images will end up on Pinterest.

Their wedding happens to be nearly a year away and we can’t wait!
